One of the many trends that I am obsessed with is the animal print. I remember purchasing my first pair of leopard print jeans(though not a very flattering one),when I was in high school. It is more than ten years since then and the trend is still going strong.I mean look around and you will find this particular trend taking the fashion world by storm.

What is more,is that there are endless possibilities to choose from-be it bags, belts, jwellery, hair accessories or clothing, this season is all about animal prints(Also, have you had a chance to spot the tortoise shell eye makeup or manicure on your Instagram feeds?).

The trend also takes us back to the iconic 90s fashion which is currently having it’s moment in the sun.We all love the 90s and on top of it,we have the animal print that instantly elevates any outfit. While we are on the subject, let me talk about one distinct animal print that has recently gained momentum and is making it’s mark everywhere.Yes, I am talking about the snake print trend.

Personally,I am terrified of snakes, but I can’t say the same thing about this burgeoning print which is also a major fall trend. While I love nudes and blacks,I am always inclined towards prints or colors that break the monotony of an outfit. However,if you are not a big fan of brights during the fall weather, you can always add punch to your outfit by opting for snake print in shades of greys and browns.

I,on the other hand, love my colors. So,for my first piece of this eye catching trend,I chose a neon colored high neck, full-sleeved snake print top and paired it with a hunter-green mini skirt. I loved playing with two different shades of green to give the look an edge and provide it with an instant pop of chic. You can also keep it simple by pairing it with a black jeans or a black trousers or maybe a black midi skirt.

Now,from dresses- to-shoe- to-bag, every brand is currently stocking up on some form of snake-effect print. However, if you want to indulge in this fashion forward look without paying major bucks, then SHEIN is your alibi my friends. The entire outfit(minus the boots) cost me around 16$. Also, these pieces are so versatile that I can pair it with lots of other articles already in my closet and that way I have a win-win situation on my hand.

Enjoy the photos and also let me know how you feel about this trend and if you would try it.

Shades of Spring

Hello Dearies !! 🙂

Hope you are all doing really well !!

I am back with yet another blog and this time it is about upgrading your closet staples for the spring season. Spring is all about new beginnings and fresh starts. Likewise, the fashion world also sees new trends and color palettes that are going to be in the spotlight for the upcoming year.

I feel spring is one of the most romantic seasons with fresh florals, vibrant hues and clean minimalist looks to offer. Nature itself becomes an inspiration,as with spring the world comes alive and everything seems brighter. In fashion, irrespective of trends spring is about welcoming the season-brightening-shades of life. It’s the time of the year when you can incorporate fresh colours, quirky and pop-art prints to your individual styles.

Talking about my personal style for the spring season, I have opted for a breezy,boho-inspired light-weight cotton fabric long Kurti with high slits. I believe, this Kurti is perfect to wear during day time as the weather is quite warm and it is always a smart idea to go for fabrics that flow and breathe. I have thrown in some silver jewellery and a pair of oxfords to complete the bohemian look.

Let me know in the comments what you think about the look. Have a great day ahead!! 🙂 🙂

Styling Oversized Sweaters and Boots

Hello Lovely Readers,

Welcome to the very first blog of 2018.I know,I am a bit late but then I was really taking some time out to enjoy the first few days of the new year. 2017 was a year with equal extents of ups and downs. It was the year when I took the first step towards my passion and finally started my blog.I wouldn’t say that I have made a huge progress but yes, I am constantly moving forward and hope to continue to do so by creating better content for my readers.

When it comes to experiment with fashion,I always felt that of all the seasons, winter provided with limited and dull options.First, you have to be bundled up in layers of clothing and second,it is hard to find chic winter essentials at an affordable price. But these days, thanks to the oh-so-inspiring fashion community,we have endless ways in which we can style our basic wardrobe staples in winter. Also, almost every other brand has a wide range of winter garments to offer and that too at at steal-worthy price.

Talking about brands, the one’s that top my list or to put it in other words,my current favorites are H&M,Globus Fashion,SHEIN,Koovs and StalkBuyLove. To be honest, most of my winter wardrobe is built with fine pieces from these brands and that too without burning a hole in my pocket. 😀

As it comes to winter fashion, I have a thing for oversized fluffy sweaters and boots. You can easily up your style game with minimum efforts by pairing oversized sweaters and/or boots basically with anything.Keeping in mind the key to effortless dressing,I have simply paired similar colored sweater and boots along with ankle length denim. To give an edge to the single toned outfit,I have accessorized it by adding a layer of chunky bracelets and my trusty mini bag-pack.

I feel even with minimum efforts and by using only few pieces the look came out to be quite great. What do you say? 🙂

Leave your feedback in the comments below and I would love to hear from you !! 🙂 🙂

Being a keen fashionista, I am always on the lookout for new trends that I can incorporate in my wardrobe. If you are a fashion frenzy like me,you would know that many retro/vintage trends are making a comeback this season, like denim-on-denim,patent leather, polka dots, red and white boots etc.All these trends remind me of my childhood days, when I was really into wearing those off-shoulders tops/dresses, thigh high slit dresses, flared pants and so on.

Now,I believe fashion is always inspired and as seen on the runways, the 2017 vogue has fallen for the vintage era. This year we are seeing the revival of some iconic trends that have rocked the world of fashion in their times. In case you follow any other fashion bloggers, you would find that many of them are rocking the two trends which are the spotlight of my look book today.

The baker boy hat (also called news boy/cabbie/poor boy/fisherman hat) and belt bag (fanny pack/bum bag/waist belt) are two accessories that has been spotted on many IT girls and models like Kendell Jenner,Gigi Hadid etc. If you are fully on board with trend, then these two accessories are must have for the fall/winter season. For inspiration you can check the Instagram feeds of  various bloggers which is dominated by these two trends.

I truly love how these accessories give a retro vibe to the entire outfit and also are super convenient and fuss free. So,without any further ado, check out the look book below and let me know in comments which retro trend you are most excited about. 🙂

Earthy Green Tones for Fall/Winter !!

Hello Friends !!

December is here and we all are gearing up to welcome the new year. While it’s fun to layer up for the cold weather, when it comes to dressing up for a party or night out,we are left with fewer choices. With the sweater season in it’s full swing, it’s time to stash away all our strappy tops, mini skirts and summer dresses and make way for winter essentials.

This year the runways have  witnessed some great trends and colors which are sure to help us upgrade our fall/winter wardrobe in the most stylish way possible. Layering being the key for the cold weather,it is important to spice up our regular outfits by adding the correct trends and colors to our wardrobes.

The Pantone Color Institute creates the PANTONE Fashion color Report, where the top 10 colors for the upcoming season are introduced. The color palette for fall 2017 has some really interesting warm and earthy tones, which can be paired with each other or with black and neutral shades to create a striking touch.

One of the most sought after color is the military green hue, seen in camo prints, jackets, denims etc. The variants for this earthy green tone i.e. ‘shaded spruce’ and ‘golden lime‘ are some refreshing shades that aptly compliment the classic fall wardrobe pieces and have been included in the color palette for this year’s fall/winter.

I picked up this military green cover-up last month from the lifestyle store’s a/w collection and paired it up with the same high neck black top, denim and boots that you have seen in my previous look book.To give it a slightly romantic vibe,I simply added a silver neck-piece and an ethnic clutch which perfectly compliment the entire look. 🙂

I love the fact, that, just by changing the outerwear and adding few accessories,I have got two trendy and chic fall looks ready. However,if you feel that the outfit won’t work as the temperature dips further, you can always switch the cover-ups/shrugs with fur or quilted jackets,as seen on the runways this year. 🙂 🙂

Have a great time reading the blog. Happy Friday 🙂

Fall to Winter Transitional Look

With the temperature finally dropping,it is time to bring out the cozy layers and make room for some warm tones in our wardrobe. Though we don’t witness official fall weather here in India, fall couture does make it’s way to the stores. The new season brings a whole new sartorial mood and instead of opting for the usual choices, why not bundle up fashionably and keep your style as cool as the weather. 🙂

I always felt that summer and spring are my favorite seasons when it comes to fashion,as you can always invest in pretty dresses, crop tops, off shoulders etc.But over the years, fall/winter fashion has drawn a completely new definition. The latest season has witnessed some really cool trends in terms of cozy knits, multicoloured fur, padded jackets, patent leather, velvet, glitterati boots, retro hats etc, thus heading for more and more comfort and at the same time retaining the fun and glamour quotient.

I really enjoyed creating this look-book for the upcoming season. Instead of simply pairing the high neck ribbed top with matching boots, I hooked in a bit of bohemian touch,by adding the printed shrug and hat. The shrug breaks the monotony of the plain and monochromatic outfit and makes the outfit stand out. By adding such quirky pieces to your wardrobe, you can stay fashionable even under the layers of clothing and welcome winters in style. 😉

Hope you enjoy the look-book. Happy reading 🙂

Easy and Chic College Look book !!

The college is a small universe of it’s own, away from the outside world and complete in itself. Everything about college life is exciting,be it the classes, assignments(or maybe not much of assignments),seeing new faces, making friends, college fests and of course college fashion.

Dressing up for college is quite fun, thrilling and challenging. While you do want to look your best amongst the herd of college students, you don’t want to go overboard with your choices and create a ‘fashtastrophy’. Though style is essential, comfort should be of prime importance as well.

Now all of us have same source of inspiration-fashion magazines,TV shows, movies or a peer. When in college,I used to find my inspiration mostly from TV shows and movies and being a fashion enthusiast I really wish I had more exposure to fashion articles/blogs that would help me invest in affordable yet trendy fashion.

So,keeping this in mind I have created an effortless back-to-college look, twinning with my friend ‘Ankur’ (whom my avid readers would remember from the ‘Himachal’ travel blog),who is currently attending college in The University of Texas at Dallas.

As he was keen on contributing to my blog and I had been getting few requests to incorporate men’s fashion style and inspiration ,we decided to make it a fashion challenge where Ankur provided me with one of his college looks and I had to find similar pieces and create an affordable look for myself.

I feel Ankur’s outfit is a minimalist one comprising of key wardrobe pieces, which can be easily used to create other looks. With such elemental pieces, one can always indulge in contemporary and affordable college fashion.Similarly, the look that I have created is quite basic and comfortable yet trendy and voguish. I am specially in love with the cropped boyfriend denims which aptly signifies the slightly rebellious and experimental college fashion. The rest of the pieces are quite minimalistic and can be easily found in one’s closet.

Hope the college-goers are able to take ideas from the blog and find some inspiration from both the looks.

Have a great time reading the blog and enjoy the pictures. 🙂 🙂

Festive Look book -Volume 2

This Diwali, I feel blue has got my heart. 🙂 The second outfit that I bought for the festival of lights is a pretty blue ethnic gown that has elegant golden flower motifs running through the entire body.Just like the previous outfit, this gown needs no heavy jewellery and so I have completed the look just by adding few bangles,a pretty pair of ‘jhumkas’ and a plain ‘bindi’.To glam up the look further, instead of using a black eye liner,I decided to go for a blue one and kept the rest of the makeup to minimum.

The best part about Max’s festive collection is not just the wide collection incorporating the season’s top trends and colors, but the fact that this year,Max Fashion has come out with classic and elegant outfits for all age groups. 🙂 This year, mom and I decided to twin our outfits for Diwali and bought the same gown for the big night. I must say, that as lovely as I felt the outfit looked on me, it looked super graceful on my mom (who just turned 50) as well.Truly, this year Max has introduced a timeless fashion range and whether you are 25 or 50, Max has something in store for each and every age group.

So, if you are looking for some outfit inspiration for this Diwali, take a cue from the look book and find your choicest pick for this festive season. Get dressed this Diwali in delightful ethnic and colorful collection from Max Fashion and look your best in the upcoming festivities. 🙂 🙂

Festive Look book – Volume 1

Hello Dear Readers,

It’s the time of the year, when our cherished festival of lights is around the corner.Whether it’s pre-Diwali get together, ‘Laxmi Puja’,’Bhai Duj’or an Office Party,we all want to look our best for each occasion. With a plethora of trends and colors available, finding the perfect outfit is quite a task.I believe, for an outfit to standout,it is highly important to add a bit of quirk by incorporating interesting prints or colours to our ensemble.I usually decide my looks keeping in mind the occasions and festivities that I have to attend, reserving the heaviest look for the most important day.

Previously,on Diwali I used to run to the local tailors or visit the old city markets to get the perfect outfit for the Diwali bash. But that is no more the scene this year. Max Fashion with it’s wide and affordable range of ethnic wear has made my job of finding the perfect outfit super easy. The colorful and gorgeous pattern work on every outfit, left me spoilt with choices and made it extremely difficult to select the ones I like the most.

After much deliberation,I was able to find the perfect outfits that are not too over the top and makes you look like the next bride-in-line but yet is bound to make a statement. I will be sharing two different Diwali looks in two blog posts so that justice is done to each of the looks

For my first look, I picked up a ethnic blue crop top(from Max Fashion store) to pair with a pastel green palazzo that I had bought few months back from the local markets of Indore. I kept the accessorises to the minimum as I feel the outfit is perfect in itself and doesn’t need the aid of much jewellery. The entire outfit is less than 1000 bucks and provides the classic festive touch without burning a hole in the pockets. This outfit will be perfect for day time events or for office parties where you can easily make a statement as traditional design on pastel colours makes all the difference.

Take a look at the pictures and let me know in comments and feedback how you liked the pairing. Also, stay tuned for Festive look book – Volume 2. 😉  HAPPY MONDAY . 🙂 🙂

With the beginning of October, the fall season has popped it’s head in.Seasons change,so do the trends. Before the season of layering and cover-up takes over,I thought, why not create another hassle free look for a summery afternoon.

Though the nights are comparatively cool, the afternoons are still scorching and bothersome.Keeping this in mind,I have put together a simple indo-western look which is perfect for braving the humid afternoons.

I bought this pretty green dress and the white ethnic jacket from the Max Fashion sale for the summer season but couldn’t wear it.However,I feel I can still make a good use of the outfit before I have to pack away all my summer dresses. To elevate the look and give it the indo-western feel I have added a pretty silver neck-piece complementing the entire outfit. As for shoes,I have simply used a white pair of flats from my mom’s shoe closet.

As I had been holding on to the outfit for quite sometime and took a while to write this post, the exact same pieces might not be available in the stores or online. However,Max Store has many other options which are great for this transitional weather.

Check out the pictures and leave your lovely comments and feedback on how you like the look.Subscribe to stay updated on upcoming blogs.Have a great day !! 🙂 🙂
